In a competitive and increasingly online environment for brands, SEO matters more than ever. One-third of U.S. consumers in 2018 started their online purchases with Google or another search tool — more than three times the number who started at retailers’ sites or apps, and second only to searches beginning at Amazon. To do well in organic search results, brands must have a solid SEO strategy. Before you can take your SEO to the next level, you need to know where you are now and what to do next. Let’s look at four building blocks you can use to create a more competitive SEO program for your B2C or B2B brand.

You want to have a successful SEO strategy to improve your web traffic and promote your brand effectively. But you’ve got to start with the most basic building blocks first and work your way up from there.

Improving your sites crawlability, targeting specific keywords, creating inbound and outbound links, and adding new and relevant content to your site are the first steps towards your successful SEO strategy.

Domain registry companies create top-level domains for Internet users to use in a specific way. To ensure these domains uphold their mission and intended purpose, domain registries will develop registration requirements. For example, to register a .bot domain Amazon requires your bot to be built with one of the approved preferred bot builders. .bank domains must pass a verification process with strict security criteria for .bank websites.
Google is on a mission to secure the Internet and also investing in some of the top new tech TLDs. We notice a trend that all new Google TLDs require HTTPS to function correctly in web browsers. For all Google domains
SSL certificates are necessary to achieve a secure HTTPS connection. The new Google domains are unrestricted in the sense that anyone can register one. However, your website will not propagate unless you meet the SSL for Google domain requirements.

It’s very important to keep your data and your customers’ data safe.

You might disagree, but I see Search Engine Optimization as both an art and a science. You need to be creative in your approaches to please search engines and outsmart competitors while also applying solid research and analytics-based strategies.

To do this, you need to employ a variety of techniques and tools. Unfortunately, however, most people tend to stick to what they know. That can be dangerous in the rapidly evolving SEO space, as the search engines continually adjust what they’re looking for and how they display results.

Following are some of the significant — but sometimes forgotten — levers you can pull to enhance your SEO efficiency.

The focus on keywords is huge when it comes to SEO marketing. Making sure you have the right word or words in your title and the throughout the body of your article will ensure that Google associates your page with your keyword focus.

In addition to keywords, it is suggested to link up (outbound and inbound) with other websites with similar topics to make your site have more of a web presence and have more for your page visitors to follow.
